United In No Rush To Appoint A Permanent Successor To Mourinho

|

In what is, it appears, going to be one of those days, the column inches being generated relating to the sacking of Jose Mourinho are going to be exhaustive, to say the least.

We’re under no illusions that anybody who is anybody is going to have a few words to say about the event that was announced just before 10:00 hours this morning.

The latest information we’ve stumbled upon, courtesy of the BBC, confirms that Manchester United do not have a replacement for Jose Mourinho lined-up.

Instead, the club has confirmed that they will appoint a new manager at the end of the current season and appoint a temporary one until then with a statement released by the club, reading:

“A caretaker-manager will be appointed until the end of the season while the club conducts a thorough recruitment process for a new, full-time manager.”

And as for wishing Mourinho bon voyage, the statement adds:

“The club would like to thank Jose for his work during his time at Manchester United and to wish him success in the future.”

We’ll endeavour to bring you updates on what is an on-going highly newsworthy subject whenever possible.
