United Hit With A Devastating Injury Blow Ahead Of The Start Of The New Season

|

The start of the 2019 / 2020 season is less than two weeks away and ahead of the make-or-break season Manchester United have been dealt a major injury blow.

Last week, when Manchester United beat Tottenham Hotspur, 2-1, in a pre-season fixture in Shanghai, Eric Bailly limped off with a knee injury.

It had been hoped that the injury wasn’t too severe but The Independent, is reporting that Ole Gunnar Solksjaer has confirmed that the player has had an operation and will not be available for selection, for the first-team; for between four and five months.

With this summer having been filled with transfer tittle-tattle relating to Manchester United bringing a new centre-back to Old Trafford, Bailly’s unfortunate injury will, surely, see any such chase intensified.

However, it remains to be seen who the club opts to sign.

Who would you like to see grace the heart of our defence?
