With the opening of the January transfer window almost upon us and getting close every day, are Manchester United on the verge of making an eye-opening signing?
The reason we ask is that speculation linking Manchester United with the signing of the talented young Norwegian striker, Erling Braut Haaland, is starting to ramp up.
The 19-year-old who has the lovely habit of scoring for fun could, according to The Sun be set to join Manchester United.
Previously, any deal has, seemingly, stumbled on the fact that his current club, Red Bull Salzburg, want to hang onto their player until the end of the season.
But our referenced source is inferring that, in their keenness to sign the player, Manchester United are willing to pay Red Bull Salzburg a transfer fee of £76 million and loan him back to the club for the remainder of the season.
However, it remains to be seen if it is a deal that can be got across the line!
