With Wayne Rooney rested, primarily because of an ankle knock, his replacement Javier Hernandez certainly took the opportunity to stake his claim for a regular place in the starting eleven.

His sublime strike, one of many this season, ensured all three points went our way last night.

Afterwards, when pressed on the possibility of Hernandez keeping out a fit again Wayne Rooney, sometime in the very near future, Sir Alex Ferguson had this to say to the assembled journalists,

“Of course it will be hard to leave Chico out – that`s the kind of problem you want. Over the years the strikers I`ve had have always given me that problem.”

“If Chico keeps sticking the ball in the net it does give me a problem.”

A great problem to have we`d say and one that provides the boss with so many options!
