One of the saddest sights in football, this season, was the sight of Owen Hargreaves limping out of the action only five minutes into his long awaited comeback.

The England international has had a wretched run of luck with injuries and there are genuine fears that he`ll not attain the standards he use dot or indeed manage to make a complete comeback.

Sir Alex Ferguson, speaking ahead of the Champions League fixture with Valencia, has remarked,

“We are all concerned. He hasn`t played for over two years.”

“We would have to be super-optimistic to think everything is going to be rosy for him.”

“What we`re trying to do is help the lad – to get him back to a level where he can play football.”

“He`s gone to Munich to see a specialist for his hamstring.”

It makes you wonder just how many mirrors Owen must have broken during his formative years!
