His 38th birthday may be looming somewhere over the horizon but Ryan Giggs continues to deliver the goods.

Playing in a central midfield role, Giggs became the oldest scorer in the history of the Champions League last night when he netted against Schalke.

At 37 years and 148 days old Ryan set a record that, we believe, will take some beating.

Also, in scoring that crucial goal, Giggs equaled another record, that of scoring in 15 different seasons in the Champions League, equaling a record held by Raul who, although in the opposition side last night, remained virtually anonymous.

Good on you Ryan, keep it going mate!
