An unlikely alliance, formed when Jose Mourinho and Sir Alex Ferguson crossed swords in the Premier League, could prove beneficial to Manchester United as we contemplate that Champions League Final date with Barcelona.

In a friendship formed amongst the combative world of the Premier League, Sir Alex Ferguson, following our win last night, openly admitted that he will be talking to Jose Mourinho with a view to picking his brains on the threat Barcelona may present.

Now whilst we`d love to be able to listen in on the conversation, Sir Alex was also quick to point out that Jose will not be his only port of call when it comes to information gathering with Sir Alex commenting, last night,

“I speak to him (Jose) quite a lot. His experiences with Real Madrid could be useful. You always take any information angled in that way and Jose is very helpful.”

“But Real are a different team from us and we will also depend on our own knowledge of Barcelona.”

“It`s not as if we haven`t seen them before. We`ve watched them many, many times this season.”

“I don`t think we should be going to Wembley lacking on confidence.”

“We can`t be frightened out of our skins. We`ve got to find a solution to playing against them.”

We`re confident that Sir Alex can not only come up with a plan to stop Barcelona but also one that will see us take the trophy!
