United Forward Faced With A Stark Choice Regarding His Future

|

When it comes to players Manchester United have signed, down the years, there have been several that have not lived up to expectations.

One such player is, unfortunately, Alexis Sanchez.

Whilst on the books of Arsenal, the Chilean international forward looked a world-beater, a player who could, in an instant, alter the outcome of a game.

A move to bring him the Old Trafford on a free transfer, albeit with a high salary, looked to be a dream move.

But it just hasn’t worked out for Sanchez at Old Trafford, a poor run of form, allied with a run of injuries, has seen the player look a shadow of the player we saw at Arsenal.

On Wednesday night, as United looked to pull back a 2-0 reverse against our local rivals, Manchester City, Sanchez came off the bench and, once again, failed to impress.

Therefore, I have to admit I’m not even slightly disappointed that, this morning, speculation has appeared in the media, courtesy of the Independent, where it is insinuated that the 30-year-old could be heading to Serie A with Inter Milan said to be interested in the player.

However, as you’d expect, any such move would require the Chilean to take a reduction in his salary.

So, what is it to be Alexis, regular football in Milan on a reduced salary or being a squad player at Old Trafford but on mega-bucks?
