It seems to be a journey that more and more players, as they approach the end of their careers, are taking!

Whether it`s the over-riding desire to add one last mountain of cash to an already creaking bank account or whether it`s the chance to experience life in a strange land, remains debatable.

But Mikael Silvestre, a long time United player who moved to Arsenal, is anther who has chosen to ply his trade in the United Arab Emirates. Silvestre, now thirty-two, looks to be on the verge of joining Al Jazeera Abu Dhabi.

Apparently, his annual salary is quoted as being £4 million, nice work if you can get it!
