Being the last of the so-called big teams to start their Premier League campaigns has its advantages and also its disadvantages.

On the advantage side it gave us the opportunity to sit back and study what our closest rivals had to offer, a chance to assess what their performances meant and the realization that we knew, last night, what we had to do.

On the disadvantage side, it also meant that having watched Chelsea knock in 6 goals on Saturday, we were under a little bit of pressure to eat into their early decent goal difference record, a fact Sir Alex Ferguson touched on when presented with a question relating to the subject by the media hordes yesterday,

“I was asked if Chelsea`s six goals put us under pressure.”

“At this time of the season the answer`s no, but we`re still pleased we won 3-0.”

“You never know, goals could come into it at the end of the season. Last term Chelsea won a landslide as far as goals were concerned, we`re conscious of that.”

Surely Chelsea won`t smash through the b>100 mark in the Premier League again will they?
