United February fixtures confirmed

|

Manchester United’s fixture list for the month February has been complete after the Premier League today announced new dates for TV coverage.

United’s opening game of the second month of year is at Old Trafford against Crystal Palace, which is due to take place on Saturday 4th February 2023 and will remain a 3pm UK time kick-off. This is the only game from United’s February set of fixtures that has not been changed.

However, there are three matches that have been changed in February and that is Leeds United away, Leicester City and Brentford at home. The game against Leeds away at Elland Road will kick off on Sunday 12th February 2023, and it is a fixture that will get the juices flowing as United and Leeds prepare to do battle in the latest instalment of the Roses rivalry, which is scheduled to take place at 14.00pm on Sunday and will be shown on Sky Sports.

A date has not been given for the United and Leeds game, which was due to take place at Old Trafford on Sunday 19th September 2022 but it had to be pushed back because the Greater Manchester Police were required for the Queen’s funeral that took place a day later.

United will take on Brendan Rodgers’ Leicester City at Old Trafford on Sunday 18th February 2023, three days after the Reds play Xavi Hernandez’s Barcelona at the Nou Camp. The game against Leicester will be played in front of the Sky cameras and will kick off at 14.00pm UK time.

Due to United’s Europa League commitments and to ensure that players can get sufficient rest, it now means that United’s game against Brentford has been pushed back to Sunday 26th February 2023 because Erik ten Hag’s side play Barcelona at Old Trafford on Thursday 23rd February 2023.

The game against Brentford will remain a 13.30pm kick-off, but it will not be shown on TV in the UK.
