With Manchester United linked with the acquisition of a Real Madrid player, in the shape of Angel Di Maria, could a second player from the Bernabeu be heading our way?

Speculation appearing in several news sources, this morning, has Manchester United preparing to enter the race to sign the German international midfielder, Sami Khedira.

Khedira, just like Angel Di Maria, has rejected a new contract offer from the Spanish giants and is available for a knockdown fee, said to be as little as £12 million.

However, there appears to be stiff competition for the midfielder`s signature with Arsenal also keen.

From what we can see, there are three problems to be overcome if Khedira is to become a Manchester United player,

1 – Can we see off the challenge Arsenal present?

2 – Will the fact that we can`t offer Khedira Champions League football affect the outcome?

3 – The player is said to want a salary of £200,000 a week, can we negotiate this downwards?

If the above three problems can be overcome, what`s the verdict?

Is Sami Khedira a player you`d welcome with open arms at Old Trafford?
