Regular visitors to this site will acknowledge that over the past months, we’ve published numerous articles that relate to Manchester United’s search for a world-class centre-back.
Only yesterday Click Here, this article outlined three possible signings, as named by a red-top publication.
However, yesterday we also stumbled across a suggestion that Manchester United came close to signing a centre-back, from another Premier League club, who could have been the answer to our problems.
The centre-back in question being Jamaal Lascelles, of Newcastle United.
The news source, ESPN, are reporting that before he was axed, Jose Mourinho was looking at bringing the 25-year-old to Old Trafford, in the January transfer window.
Lascelles, with youth on his side and Premier League experience, would, in our opinion, have been a good signing. Putting the Englishman in the heart of our defence would have seen his already considerable stature grow.
I wonder if Jamaal, like us, is wondering what if?

Haha good luck. Never a chance he was going to manure. If he was going somewhere for 40 Mill it would be to one of the top clubs, not a pathetic joke who are on their way down. Deluded losers.
