Looking to bring in a left-back, Manchester United have long been linked with a move for the Tottenham Hotspur defender, Danny Rose.

Rose, a 27-year-old England international, has made a successful return from a long-term injury but has struggled to get a regular place in the Tottenham starting eleven.

Throw in the fact that Rose has been critical of the club and its rigid pay structure and the general feeling is that there will be a parting of the ways sooner rather than later.

According to the red-top publication, the Daily Star, that parting of the ways could come as early as January.

Although the Tottenham supremo, Daniel Levy, has been reticent to do a deal with Manchester United, our referenced source is championing the suggestion that Rose could make the switch to Old Trafford if Manchester United offer around the £45 million mark for the player.
