Although the transfer window doesn`t open until 1 January 2018, it appears that Manchester United have acted quickly to sign a young Benfica forward.

According to 101 Great Goals, Manchester United have followed up their summer interest in Umaro Embalo, whereby they bid £5 million for the player, by securing his services.

In doing so, Manchester United have beaten off interest from Real Madrid, who are said to have offered Benfica ?10 million for the player.

As for the fee, everything is pretty cagey with it being described as undisclosed.

However, the signing suggests that transfer relations with Benfica are as good as ever with Manchester United having already procured the services of Victor Lindelof back in the summer transfer window.
