There has been talk in the media about an apparent Manchester United interest in the Spurs striker Harry Kane.

Such talk was met with howls of derision by the Tottenham support who chided me with remarks suggesting he was one of theirs and that he was going nowhere.

This morning it is being suggested that Manchester United are set to seriously test Spurs resolve to hang on to their striker by offering Spurs a deal believed to be worth £50 million.

It seems that Louis van Gaal is so smitten with the striker that he wants the 21-year-old at Old Trafford and is prepared to sanction an offer to the North London club that would see cash change hands and also the trio of Javier Hernandez, Nano and Adnan Januzaj.

So what`s the verdict?

Is it a deal that will have Spurs interested and Harry Kane clearing his locker out to move to a bigger club and showcase his skills in the Champions League?
