We`re not expecting any immediate action when it comes to any significant move in the bid to bring Sergio Ramos to Old Trafford.

Yesterday`s suggestion that Manchester City were set to enter the race for the player seems to have been brushed under the carpet with news filtering through that the player wants to join Manchester United.

In fact the grapevine is suggesting that Sergio Ramos is imploring with Real Madrid to let him make the move he craves for after his apparent fall-out with the hierarchy after the sacking of the Italian Carlo Ancelotti.

Any suspicions that Ramos is using the possibility of a move to get a better deal at Real Madrid is being strongly refuted by the player himself and now it seems to be a matter of waiting.

Real Madrid, knowing they`ve already stated Ramos has a price of £64 million on his head, will not rush things, even more so with their move for our very own David De Gea having stalled as well.

We`re, as we`ve stated before, expecting this apparent stalemate to continue for a few days as both clubs wait to see what the other intends to do, but once talks begin again both deals could, we believe, be wrapped up quickly.
