The World Cup has one unique trait!

It enable hacks to link players to clubs, players who clubs might not be that interested in, but nevertheless filling column inches in the tabloid press and making waves!

Take the case of Neven Subotic!

In Serbia`s opening game defeat, against Ghana, he came on as a second half substitute; his impact was minimal but already his name is thrown into the hat as a possible signing for Manchester United.

Currently playing in the Bundesliga, Subotic now finds himself linked to Arsenal, Bayern Munich and ourselves!

Give him a couple of more games and we can add the names of Manchester City, Juventus and AC Milan to a list that will inevitably grow longer and longer if Serbia stay in the tournament, although on the evidence of their display against Ghana, looks highly unlikely!
