Jose Mourinho, after the defeat at the hands of Huddersfield Town last weekend, wasn`t slow in coming forward and lambasting his sides performance.

Today, after the narrow 1-0 win over Tottenham Hotspur, Jose was more at ease when it came to giving his verdict on the outcome and the effort his side put in, remarking to the media after the final whistle,

“That was difficult, it could have been a draw. Both teams were trying to win but both knew the opponent was strong.

‘Apart from Dele Alli`s chance, we controlled them well. It was tactically difficult for both and it was well refereed. It was strong, aggressive.

‘We knew if we had one defensive mistake we could lose and that’s what happened to them.

‘We tried and we deserved the victory.

‘We all feel we have to win every match so that’s why I disappointed at Huddersfield. It looked like we didn’t know that every point is a precious point.

‘Today, every ball looked like the last ball of their careers.”

I`m guessing Jose put the feat of god into those who under-performed away at Huddersfield.
