Real Madrid have banned Becks from cheering on the England lads at Old Trafford tonight, bosses insisted he return to Spain to attend a training session this morning.
‘David is not happy,’ a source close to the England team said. ‘He is disappointed about what has happened.
‘He was extremely keen to stay and cheer the boys on and be part of the group for the last qualifying game.
‘He’s very happy at Madrid and that won’t change but he would have liked to have been here for the Poland game.’
Michel Salgado has also been recalled by Madrid after he was ruled out of Spain’s clash with San Marino tonight – so at least it’s not personal!
