Last night saw the Manchester United U21 squad move a step closer to the title.

In a local derby with Manchester City, the U21`s won 4-0 and now only need a point to claim the title.

The match was played out in front of a crowd of 16,708 but was marred by a crowd disturbance that saw the Greater Manchester Police make three arrests.

United, seemingly did their best to prevent any trouble, through segregation, but Manchester United have issued a statement about the incident, a statement that reads,

‘Club officials are liaising with Greater Manchester Police and Manchester United FC over this situation and will assist with their enquiries.’

And there was I thinking that this kind of behaviour was a thing of the past.

Shame on those involved and I hope, whoever they support, they feel the full force of the law.
