Top-Notch Dutch Defender Not Interested In Manchester United Move

|

Those of you, who, on Thursday evening, watched England in action against the Netherlands, might have noticed that it was Matthijs de Ligt who got the Dutch back on level terms after Marcus Rashford had opened the scoring for England.

Regular visitors to Vital Manchester United will be aware that we’ve been following, intently, the speculation linking the 19-year-old Dutch defender with a move to Old Trafford.

Our latest article on the subject, Click Here, inferred that United had a Premier League rival when it came to the pursuit of de Ligt’s signature, Liverpool.

However, it seems that both Manchester United and our rivals from down the road, Liverpool, are set to be disappointed.

According to Marca, de Ligt doesn’t see his immediate future as being in the Premier League and is set to join either of the two European giants, Barcelona or Paris Saint-Germain.

But, according to ESPN, the Nou Camp might not be the defenders’ next destination claiming that it is the delights of Paris that awaits him.

In my opinion, de Ligt would have been a revelation at Old Trafford, still a teenager, we could have watched him mature into something akin to a cross between Nemanja Vidic and Paul McGrath and I believe he really has the potential to be that good. But, I guess, some things are just not meant to be and now is the time to look elsewhere.
