It`s not been a good couple of seasons for Luke Shaw.

After being side-lined last season, for a considerable period of time, with a double leg-fracture, this season has seen the left-back further troubled by injuries and only making sporadic appearances in the first team.

Unfortunately, this has led to speculation emerging that doubts whether the defender has a long-term future at Old Trafford.

Since December 2016, Luke has made just one start and didn`t feature in the 18-man squad that brought the EFL Cup back to Old Trafford, on Sunday, beating his former club 3-2 with a late-goal from Zlatan Ibrahimovic.

This lack of first-team action, according to the media vehicle Squawka, has resulted in Luke himself doubting whether he has a long-term future with the club.

To that effect, our referenced source is reporting that Shaw will be looking to seek a move away from the club come the opening of the summer transfer window.

At 21 Shaw has a lot to offer the game and if he does seek a move away from Manchester United it`ll be interesting to see who he joins.

Here at Vital Manchester United we`ll endeavour to keep abreast of the situation and report back further as deemed necessary.
