I suppose the diagnosis is better than we first feared.

Carted off on a stretcher at Villa Park there were, initially, fears that Javier Hernandez could be set for a long absence.

Thankfully, it seems that our Mexican hot-shot will only be missing for something like three to four weeks with Sir Alex Ferguson remarking, after the game,

“He has damaged the ligaments and will be out for three to four weeks. It`s a bad time for us for injuries, it`s just as well we have got a strong squad.”

Four weeks takes us past the hectic festive programme though, although we hasten to add that we shouldn`t rush Javier back.
