The tabloid publications are suggesting that the battle to wrestle Sergio Ramos from Real Madrid could last all summer.

Entwined with Real Madrid`s own desire to take David De Gea in the opposite direction, you get the feeling that this could go down to the wire, right to the transfer deadline day.

However if that is the case it won`t sit too well with Sergio Ramos with our spies telling us that the Spanish international defender would like any potential deal done inside the next two weeks, with a source remarking to the media about the situation,

‘Ramos is thought to be anxious for progress in the next two weeks – to prevent him being dragged into the Spanish club’s long-haul pre-season tour with his future still unclear.”

I`m afraid that, sometimes, you don`t always get what you want, patience could be the key to this one, even more so with it being suggested that if Real Madrid don`t play ball over David De Gea then Manchester United are prepared to hang on to the keeper for the final year of his contract and let him leave for nothing next summer.
