It could be one of two things for Edwin van der Sar on Saturday evening!

Our Dutch keeper, who will be making his final appearance in a Manchester United shirt, could be going out on an enormous high if United win but if Barcelona win it`ll be an awful low.

Van der Sar has, previously, experienced that bitter taste of defeat on two previous occasions and can recall exactly how it feels, explaining to the media,

“When you lose, you know something has slipped through your fingers. It makes you more determined.”

Having suffered at the hands of Barcelona in 1999, hopefully that determination to win will come to fruition. If so, the word on the street infers that Edwin could well be pushed to the forefront of the celebrations and asked, by his team-mates, to lead the United side up the steps to be the first to pick up that famous trophy.

Now that`s the perfect way to call it a day!
