Yesterday, with time running short, I decided to leave this little article for the weekend, perhaps a case of something for the weekend Sir!
Now, previously, we’ve mentioned the possibility of Manchester United landing their top transfer target this winter: Click Here, and yesterday there was even more speculation relating to the same player.
It comes courtesy of the Evening Standard, who are proudly proclaiming that Manchester United are set to launch an audacious bid to sign the Napoli centre-back, Kalidou Koulibaly.
Now, I say audacious because since covering the subject in our linked article, the price has increased significantly.
Instead of wanting a fee of £90 million for the 27-year-old defender, the talk is that the price has now increased to a mind-boggling £100 million.
Now, we readily comply with Jose Mourinho’s views that the team is lacking something world-class at the heart of the defence but, is anyone out there, of a defensive nature, worth a whopping £100 million.
It’s just mind-boggling is it not?
