As far as transfer speculation goes, rumours don`t come bigger than this one!

With Manchester United, last summer, showing that they`re not afraid to splash-the-cash big time, breaking the world transfer record to bring Paul Pogba back to Manchester, from Turin, could that transfer record be set to be obliterated this summer?

Jose Mourinho has already promised that the squad will be boosted by the arrival of three players with it being suggested, on several occasions, the Atletico Madrid striker Antoine Griezmann is the prime target.

However, according to the good folk over at Sport, the money Manchester United are prepared to pay for Griezmann, £86 million, could be small change in comparison to what they`re prepared to pay to bring a certain player to Old Trafford.

The player falling under the spotlight, according to our referenced source is the Brazilian striker Neymar

Apparently, our source is under the impression that Manchester United are willing to meet the buy-out clause in Neymar`s contract at Barcelona, with the clause being a staggering £173 million.

Furthermore, it`s being reported by our source that Manchester United would be willing to pay the 25-year-old Brazilian a staggering £416,000 a week.

Is it all just speculation or could there be an element of truth in it?

Your thoughts on the above subject matter would be most appreciated.
