Carlos Tevez has revealed that he has already promised Sir Alex Ferguson that he will join Manchester United this summer, claiming that he never goes back on his word.

It would seem that a Carlos Tevez transfer never plain sailing and this one seems no different. Though West Ham have said they have no knowledge of a deal, due to recent events (including the apparent eviction of Tevez from his London Penthouse through West Ham United) it would seem that the deal will go through, though to be some time next week.

One of the reasons for the suspected conformation of the deal is most probably Carlos Tevez`s burning desire to move to Old Trafford, and speaking to THE PEOPLE, Tevez once again expressed his desire, claiming he has already promised Sir Alex Ferguson he will be part of the Utd squad next season.

‘Through my backers, I have given my word to Mr. Ferguson. They have told him I’ll be at Manchester United next season, and once I make a promise I don’t go back on it. There isn’t a player who would turn down this opportunity, and the negotiations are too far advanced to go back now.”

The 23-year old went on to explain why how he and his representatives have been open with West Ham all throughout the whole process.

‘I have been open and honest with West Ham every step of the way and I hope that the fans understand. It will be an emotional and special day whenever I return to play them. I had two very good offers from foreign clubs in January but I refused because I had unfinished business. It would have been easy to move on, but I couldn’t leave the club and the fans in that predicament.”

Tevez then revealed how his decision to leave the London club was sealed once they failed to commit to his long-term signature.

‘My representatives sat down with West Ham at the end of the season and once it became clear they were not going to sign me, they gave me permission to talk to other clubs, so I am surprised this is causing such a stink.’

All the pieces seem to be coming together now, and hopefully the players desire will finally pursuade West Ham to give up, so that Tevez can move to the team he quite obviously wants to join.
