Talk Of United’s Main Summer Transfer Target Was Just That, All Talk

|

The possible signing of the Borussia Dortmund winger, Jadon Sancho, has been a big talking point, among United fans for many a month.

Such was the desire the club reportedly expressed at bringing in the teenage winger, his pursuit has been labelled as United’s main transfer target this summer.

Sancho, after leaving Manchester City to seek regular first-team football, has proven to be an inspirational signing for Dortmund with the 19-year-old scoring 12 goals for the club as well as also becoming an England international.

But, any thoughts Manchester United had of bringing the youngster back to the Premier League are, according to the red-top publication, the Sun, over.

Our referenced source is reporting that Dortmund are expecting the teenager to stay for at least another season and be a key part of their team.

It’s also suggested that not even a huge bid would see the Bundesliga outfit change their mind.

Which, if the case, I’d surmise not even our lack of Champions League football next season influenced this decision, it seems that is simply a case of a player being happy, for now, where he is and his club not wanting to cash in on a prize asset.

So, it that’s the case, was the talk of Sancho being our main summer transfer target just that, all talk?
