One of the more pointless stories that’ll ever come from Vital Manchester United but ho hum, it’s a slow news day.

Celtic boss Gordon Strachan has admitted today that when it came to the Champions League draw he would rather have faced Barcelona claiming he was ‘sick of the sight’ of the Red Devils.

Celtic, along with Benfica and FC Copenhagen are United’s Group F opponents in the Champions League group stages.

Strachan said: “I’d rather have had Real Madrid or Barcelona because I’ve never encountered them before as a manager.

‘To be honest, I’m fed up with the sight of Man United,” he added. “We’ve met them twice in the last four months and I’d say they’re the outstanding favourites for the second phase, while FC Copenhagen, Benfica and ourselves battle it out for second place.’

Fair enough Gordon, I guarantee you’ll be playing up the tie leading up to the first game at Old Trafford.
