Michael Owen has yet to find a new club following his release by Manchester United in the summer.

Although many suspected something would get sorted by the time the transfer window slammed shut, it should be remembered that Owen is a free agent and can still sign a contract once he aggress terms.

The latest two clubs to be linked with Owen are Liverpool and Sunderland.

Liverpool are desperate to boost their striking power after letting Andy Carroll go to West Ham without securing the services of a replacement, whilst Martin O`Neill is keen to give Owen a chance to further his career at the Stadium of Light.

Whilst a return to Anfield would be a sentimental, I doubt whether it would give our old-friends the boost they really need, therefore, out of the two, my money, if Owen does choose between these two, is on Sunderland.
