Although Anders Lindegaard performed admirably on Wednesday night, David De Gea will be between the sticks for United this afternoon.

But, still a little rankled by the questions aimed in his direction by Kelly Cates, offspring of Kenny Dalglish, on Wednesday after the Benfica game, Sir Alex has the impression that the media are just waiting for De Gea to fail, prompting Sir Alex to once again rattle his sabre in the pre-match press conference, commenting,

“There`s an agenda on De Gea.”

“For some reason it seems there are people who are desperate for the boy to fail.”

“That`s the impression and I don`t understand it. He`s been really composed, outstanding – and he will definitely be in the team against Chelsea.”

Is he right or is he getting a little paranoid?

We`d be interested to hear your views.
