Manchester United`s hopes of signing Lucas Moura might be about to be dealt a blow.

Whilst the inferences were that Moura to Old Trafford was a done deal, it appears that we might not have been the only ones jumping the gun.

There appears to be competition for his signature.

The good folk of the French media source, L`Equipe, are of the opinion that another Premier League club is rivalling Manchester United for the signature of the 25-year-old Brazilian.

According to our referenced source, it is Tottenham Hotspur who are looking to persuade the Paris Saint-Germain forward to sign on the dotted line and move from the elegant city of Paris to the rundown part of North London known as N17.

Let`s hope they give him a guided tour, that might help Lucas Moura make his mind up!

Manchester United top wage earner earns £290,000 and soon to be £400,000. Tottenham top wage earner earns £120,000. Spurs are not rivals in this. If United do not buy Moura, the reasons will be Sanchez, Martial, Rashford, Lindgard and Mata minimising the need for a Moura type player.

United greatest needs are an out and out goal scorer to replace Ibra, a right back to cover Valencia, a playmaker and/or a defensive midfielder to compliment and cover for Pogba / Matic and replace Carrick.
