Solksjaer Equals One Of The Great All-Time Records In the Manchester United History Books

|

I’m of the opinion that statistics make for far better reading when you’ve tasted the sweet scent of victory.

It’s fair to say that the TV pundits expected Manchester United to arrive at Wembley and suffer the first defeat of Ole Gunnar Solksjaer’s caretaker reign.

But, just like the majority of supporters inside Wembley Stadium, they were disappointed as Manchester United battled to a hard-fought 1-0 win, even if they had to ride their luck at times with David de Gea being at his excellent best.

The win, when it comes to statistics, has produced an absolute corker.

Not only has Ole Gunnar Solksjaer started his managerial reign, albeit in a caretaker role, with 5 wins in his first 5 league games in charge, he’s also equalled the all-time record set by the legend that is Sir Matt Busby.

It remains to be seen if, this weekend, Solksjaer can get another win to eclipse the record.

Now, I think you’ll agree, that is some fault.
