Softly, softly, seems to be the way ahead with regards to the return of Javier Hernandez.

Having completed his international stint, this summer, with Mexico, the striker is now back with the squad but is unlikely to feature in the forthcoming fixtures with Sir Alex Ferguson intimating that the youngster will be brought back into the fold slowly, with Sir Alex remarking,

“We need to re-energise him and give him a lot of training before we consider him for the first team.”

“The league will not be won or lost in the first match.”

Those words should give encouragement to either Owen, Berbatov or Macheda to stake a claim to be Rooney`s strike partner in that opening Premier League fixture, against West Bromwich Albion.
