Whilst Paul Lambert was in charge at Aston Villa, earlier this season, I`d have suggested the chances of Tom Cleverley remaining at Villa Park were almost zilch.

On a season long loan deal it appeared that Tom wasn`t having the best of times and that a possible permanent move, with his contract up at Manchester United, to Everton might be an option.

But the change of manager, with Tim Sherwood replacing Lambert, has seen the 25-year-old somewhat revitalized.

A forthcoming FA Cup Final appearance, against Arsenal, could be the catalyst for Cleverley to stay even more so when Tim Sherwood has intimated that he wants the player to stay.
