Today, if there is any justice in the world, will see Luke Shaw regain his place in the England squad.

With international football returning next weekend, as the World Cup qualifying campaign gets way in earnest, Shaw is expected to be named by Sam Allardyce in his first England squad.

Yesterday, Shaw continued his good start to the new Premier League season with a classy display at the KCOM Stadium against Hull.

Following the late, late win, Luke gave his views on the game remarking to the media,

‘To be honest I didn’t think it was going to be our day but we didn’t stop and luckily Marcus Rashford was in the right position at the right time.

‘In the last three games we haven’t played our best, we are still gelling and improving. The signs are really positive.

‘Last season the defence was very strong and we are building on that. We have a great partnership going, it is a strong team.’

Indeed it is and the optimism levels amongst the Manchester United support are rising by the day.
