As you may have read in an earlier article, or not as it may be, the Premier League comes to a shuddering halt after the round three fixtures this weekend.

Only a matter of weeks after the finals of Euro 2016 concluded with Portugal beating France in the final, the international game steps back into the forefront with qualification fixtures starting for the 2018 World Cup, in Russia.

Although I`ve often moaned about international football there is a certain intrigue about the squads set to be named with Sam Allardyce set to announce his first squad since succeeding Roy Hodgson as the England boss.

According to one source, the Daily Express, Click Here, Allardyce looks set to recall the Manchester United left-back Luke Shaw to the England squad.

Shaw, as we are all aware, missed the poor attempt England made at making a success of Euro 2016 after missing the majority of last season with a double leg fracture, courtesy of a poor tackle in Eindhoven in a Champions League group game.

If so, it will be just reward for a player that has battled through adversity to get back to the top of his game.

Here at Vital Manchester United I`m keeping my fingers crossed for 21-year-old Luke.
