The power of self promotion has seen another possible success.
With Michael Owen setting the tone with his self-promotion pack that secured him a deal with Manchester United, and with Owen Hargreaves touting his fitness levels on YouTube, it looks like a precedent has been set.
It`s being reported this morning that Sir Alex Ferguson has given a trial to Max Lonsdale
Now Lonsdale, a teenager, was released by Macclesfield Town last season but produced a DVD of himself that he sent to United.
This enterprising lad almost deserves a contract don`t you think, so in a way the trial he`s earned, as a result of the DVD, just has you praying it all goes well.
