It wouldn’t be too likely this chance with come though as Bastian Schweinsteiger doesn’t have a future at United under Jose Mourinho with him presently training alone and with the U21 side since he became the Reds Devils boss.

If Schweinsteiger is to leave United before the end of the month it’ll not be to another European club as the former Bayern Munich midfielder has said we’ll be his last club in Europe as well as saying he ‘will be ready if the team needs me.’

He took to twitter to share his thoughts as well as thanking the fans for the support he’s had.

‘I want to thank the fans for the amazing support over recent weeks.’

He’s not played a first-team match for United since March, when a knee injury ended his club season but he did return for involvement at Euro 2016 with Germany announcing his international retirement after the finals.

At 32 he’s still got something to offer but not at Old Trafford with it unlikely Mourinho will use the German even if he doesn’t, with him a little over a year into a three-year contract signed under Louis van Gaal last summer, leave United before next weeks deadline.
