The hue and cry for Paul Scholes to resume his international career has prompted a response from Sir Alex Ferguson.

Now although Harry Redknapp would, according to gossip, welcome Scholes back with open arms, Sir Alex doesn`t think it will happen, responding to the question with the following,

“I don`t think there`s any chance of that. It`s too big a step to go back to England.”

“His reason for refusing last time was that he felt it was only too fair to the players who had got England there to be involved. Two years on, to go back again, do you believe that? If he decides to go on, Paul will be concentrating on United. But we`ve not spoken about that.”

Anyone feel a shock coming on?
