Giuseppe Rossi will make a decision on his future after the Under-21 European Championships.

United4life wrote about how Euro giants are keen on Rossi who had stated his ultimate aim was playing for United.

With the team having problems up front in terms of quantity and I’m afraid quality as well, it was believed that Rossi would be granted the chance to prove himself in the first team.

However, the young Italian striker might go out on loan again, prompting me to think we’ll surely get another striker otherwise we’ll be a bit short on numbers.

Rossi has a chance to show himself again after a successful spell at Parma: he’s set to play a major part in Italy’s bid to win the Under-21 European Championships, to be held in Netherlands later this month.

‘Giuseppe will go and play in the Netherlands and we will then assess things when he returns,’ his agent Federico Pastorello told Sky Sports. He confirmed that talks have not been held yet with another clubs, contrary to the rumours.

‘Obviously I have read such things in the newspapers, but we have not talked with Porto or any club,’

‘We are not thinking about that at the moment, Giuseppe did very well with Parma and he is now going to play for Italy. Things will be discussed at United in July.’

I think we should keep him here, especially with the rumours that United do not plan to hand a new contract to Alan Smith. He’s been great in the reserves, proved himself in the Serie A. If he does well in the Under-21 European Championships, only signing a top-class striker could justify if Rossi was loaned out again.
