Wayne Rooney will be involved against Fulham tomorrow night, Sir Alex Ferguson revealed. Wayne was in great form when he sustained a hamstring injury against Fulham and he’s not featured ever since.

‘The plan is for Wayne to be involved and he will start on the bench,’ Sir Alex told Key103. ‘We have handled him in the right way.’

‘It was a good decision
[to leave him out of the game at Derby] because he was able to train and that extra day has brought him on a lot. He is training well. His performances have been excellent and he is back to his best.’

Which, in theory, means that he’ll be able to start at the San Siro. A huge boost to our hopes – with Vidic out because of his ban the last thing we needed was having to cope without Rooney was well.
