And so after much speculation it would appear that Manchester United finally got their man.

Late last night the inference was doing the rounds that Manchester United had done a deal with Sporting Lisbon to acquire the services of their Argentine defender Marcos Rojo.

A fee of £16 million is rumoured to have changed hands with the 24 year-old player remarking to the media,

“It`s a dream to play at Manchester United.”

“I am very proud of having the chance of working with van Gaal.”

Rojo also admits to discussing a possible move to Old Trafford with a fellow Argentine, Juan Sebastien Veron, for whom the move didn`t prove to be that successful, with Rojo adding,

“I spoke with Juan about Manchester United when we were at Estudiantes.”

“I have always liked English football and I should adapt to the new style of play easily.”

Let`s hope so, our injury situation could mean that our third major summer signing, after Luke Shaw and Ander Herrera, could go straight into the starting eleven for the trip to Sunderland this Sunday.

Welcome to Old Trafford Marcos Rojo.
