Rio Ferdinand targets beating Arsenal in the weekend’s FA Cup tie to heal the wounds left by City’s unexpected victory at Old Trafford.

The Gooners visit Manchester on Saturday in the fifth round of the competition and will be confident of causing an upset as United have clearly lost their form. However, there’s no better opportunity to regain it, says Ferdinand.

‘It was a very bad weekend,’ he told MUTV.

‘We’ve all been thinking about the reasons why it happened and how we want to pull ourselves together and get the result out of our minds.

‘The best thing you can do is to come into training and just get focused on winning the next game, and that’s what we’re doing.’
