Apart from the long-term absentees – Michael Owen, Anderson and Owen Hargreaves who picked up a calf injury and is ruled out – everyone is fit and ready to take on Tottenham Hotspur in tomorrow’s morning kick-off.

Rio Ferdinand has recovered from a groin problem that, according to experts, can be related to his troublesome back. Wes Brown is available again after a lengthy absence but his lack of match fitness means he’s an outside to even make the bench against Spurs.

Wayne Rooney has been training all week and he’s in fine condition, ready to be unleashed after a less than convincing showing against Manchester City. Dimitar Berbatov will probably have to settle for a bench role again.

However, the City win has lifted the entire squad and everyone is in buoyant mood, according to Sir Alex so we should be able to beat Tottenham, even though they’re in fine form.
