Tomasz Kuszczak will make his loan move from West Bromwich Albion permanent on July 1.

The Polish keeper had joined United on a loan in August last year and performed acceptably when called upon during the season just past.

It was always intended that he would make his move permanent this summer but no doubt it’s more important now that Ben Foster is out for a considerable time.

‘Tomasz will be a Manchester United player for the next four years‘, chief executive David Gill said at a press conference ten months ago. ‘He has come to us on loan for the first year, and then will join us permanently in July 2007.”

With all his problems in dealing with crosses, Kuszczak is still a reliable deputy for Edwin van der Sar and helps to ease the pain of the loss of Ben Foster. He’s had a solid season and I think the experience will make him better and more confident.

Good luck Tomasz!
