At last, at last, if Real Madrid are that desperate to David De Gea then let`s make sure that we get something, other than cash, in return.

Today, one tabloid is insistent that if David De Gea, as we imagine he will be, goes to Real Madrid then Manchester United are going to make serious waves to bring the Real Madrid defender Sergio Ramos to Old Trafford.

The press is reporting that Manchester United have no intention of letting Real Madrid have De Gea on the cheap and the speculation is that whatever fee Real Madrid end up paying for the Spanish goalkeeper, United are going to insist that Ramos is part of the deal.

United may very well stand a chance of pulling off this audacious move as it appears that 29-year-old Ramos, who has been at Real Madrid for ten years, is on a contract that ends in 2017 and talks aimed at sealing a new deal have, reportedly, hit a stale-mate.

Could the perhaps now inevitable departure of David De Gea have a twist in the tale?
