Any hopes of Manchester United bringing Sergio Ramos to Old Trafford, irrespective of what may happen to David De Gea, look to be pretty decent.

It turns out that the Spanish defender has had a spat with those behind the scenes at the Bernabeu relating to the dismissal of the former manager, Carlo Ancelotti.

It seems that a former president of Real Madrid, Ramon Calderon, is only to happy to spill the beans on what he perceives the situation currently is, remarking to the media,

“It is clear that he is unhappy because the president has refused to extend his contract. I find it like a punishment because he supported Carlo Ancelotti publically.

“He said it was a mistake to sack him. Let us see what happens in the next few weeks.

“If Sergio goes to United, they will be very lucky.”

I`m not sure lucky is the word, more of a case of being prepared to take advantage of an awkward situation I`d say!
